EX3300 - out-of-band interface not working
« on: July 28, 2016, 05:03:09 am »
Hello,

I had problem with configuring out-of-band interface. First of all I`ve never worked with any of Juniper producst before. Also I enherited this infrastructure after previous employees so it was already set-up and configured.

VLAN 1    - 192.168.200.0/24 (Native vlan)
VLAN 20  - 172.16.20.0/24 (PC vlan)
VLAN 221 - 192.168.221.0/24 (MGMT vlan)

actual configuration -->

    me0 {
        unit 0 {
            family inet;
        }
    }
    vlan {
        unit 0 {
            family inet {
                address 172.16.20.254/24;
            }
        }
        unit 1 {
            family inet {
                address 192.168.200.254/24;
            }
        }
    }
    vme {
        unit 0 {
            family inet {
                address 192.168.221.16/24;
            }
        }
    }
}

Before I had working SSH and HTTPS but to the IP 172.16.20.254 which I do not want because we have dedicated MGMT vlan for MGMT interfaces of network devices.

So in webinterface I found TAB management access, changed it and commited it. But then HTTPS access stopped working, right now I can use CLI but still only via 172.16.20.254

I would like to de-configure 192.168.200.254 and 172.16.20.254 from the switch and use only 192.168.221.16 on MGMT interface for managing this switch.

below is detailed interface configuration...

I would be very grateful for any help how to troubleshoot and configure it... I can draw also small topology if something is unclear.

Thank you
