Rate limit on VPLS interfaces
« on: January 21, 2016, 03:40:38 am »
Hi Guys ,

I have a situation where the same firewall policer is applied to 2 interfaces. Will the bandwidth be shared ( that is both share 5Mb) or will each interface get 5Mb each?

show configuration interfaces ge-1/1/1.900
encapsulation vlan-vpls;
vlan-id 900;
family vpls {
    policer {
        input VPLS-Rate-Limit;
        output VPLS-Rate-Limit;
    }
}

show configuration firewall policer VPLS-Rate-Limit
if-exceeding {
    bandwidth-limit 5m;
    burst-size-limit 65k;
}
then discard;

show configuration interfaces ge-2/1/1.900
encapsulation vlan-vpls;
vlan-id 900;
family vpls {
    policer {
        input VPLS-Rate-Limit;
        output VPLS-Rate-Limit;
