SSG-320M VPN authentication with LDAP/AD
« on: November 04, 2013, 05:03:16 am »
Hi,

We have a couple of SSG-320M running ScreenOS 6.2.  I'm looking to set up a client IPSEC VPN for our remote users so they can access various resources from our secured network.  I would like the users to authenticate their access to the VPN with their Active Directory credentials.  The Juniper documentation is a bit flaky around LDAP authentication and I've come from an environment that was using Cisco/AD authentication for VPN.

My question is, is it as simple as setting up the VPN on the SSG and pointing the LDAP auth server settings at our active directory server?  Or should I be doing something different, perhaps setting up RADIUS?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

I also have to buy vpn for android and have a couple of options in mind. The important thing is that I will use the VPN only for the phone so need an affordable service. The Nord VPN looks pretty reasonable but do you think that it is worth buying?
