Converting to JunOS, Advise would be greatly appreciated.
« on: December 21, 2011, 11:19:12 am »
Hello All,

looking for some assistance. Can anyone recommend some good JunOS training material (i.e Cert Guides/LAB Guides/Videos etc..)

I had a look on their website and found mostly expensive hands on courses.

I would usually use GNS3 or real H/W and then a certificaition guide and/or LAB manual when I was studying with Cisco gear. (im on a budget.)

Also, I saw some .pdf's for sale for a few hundred dollars but not sure which ones are meant to go in order or what revision number is current etc..

I would like to just get routing switching down hard for now so, if anyone out there could give me a quick run down of what books/traning guides are worthwhile and not too expensive that would be great.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Check study guides, for JNCIS,  JNCIP, JNCIE - a bit outdated but mostly relevant

books:

I was using Olive to practice before  I got a job where is a lab.

Fast-track program is good to look at as well. Lots of 'day one' and 'this week' publications are also helpful.

Are you looking at the ENT or SP direction?>
