Hello everybody,

I have an MX-480 device, now I want to configure as a DHCP server, but not effect, here is my configuration, please notice and correct it if necssary:

test# show access
address-assignment {
    pool TEST {
        family inet {
            network 58.186.254.240/28;
            range POOL-01 {
                low 58.186.254.241;
                high 58.186.254.253;
            }
            dhcp-attributes {
                maximum-lease-time 36000;
                grace-period 60;
                name-server {

                }
                router {
                    58.186.254.254;
                }
            }
        }
    }
}

Looks right as far as I can see. I had a similar issue with the EX switches. Needed to restart the dhcp service. Smiley

The problem is MX switch didn't reply the DHCP discovery, here is the result:
Packets dropped:
    Total                      14101

Messages received:
    BOOTREQUEST                0
    DHCPDECLINE                0
    DHCPDISCOVER               0
    DHCPINFORM                 0
    DHCPRELEASE                0
    DHCPREQUEST                0

Messages sent:
    BOOTREPLY                  0
    DHCPOFFER                  0
    DHCPACK                    0
    DHCPNAK                    0
