HowTo delete a VPN gateway
« on: November 12, 2009, 04:26:51 am »
Dear all,

we are running NSM 2008 and I tried to set up a VPN between a Juniper and a Cisco PIX.
As a newbie I played a little bit around the VPN Phase 1/ Phase 2 Configurations in order to
learn. After that I want delete some obsolete names from the gateway list found under
Device Manager-Devices-FW-Cluster-VPN Settings-Gateway. But it does not work NSM is telling
"Object is being used by others". How can I get rid of these obsolete gateways?

THX, Rainer

to find out which objects are dependent on the object you want to delete just right click on the object and choose "find usage". NSM will tell you which objects are referenced to the object you want to delete.
