Hi can someone help me with this when you define a local route, what does it do? if RIP is enabled on endpoint will it advertise the local route. There is not much infomation in the book on what happens when you define a Local route

the local route can be used if you wish to advertise other subnets than the one on which the device is connected.

It is also used for sure to route the packets.

I don't know if the local routes are advertised via RIP.
