Filtering traffic with WX/WXC
« on: September 05, 2008, 05:26:16 am »
Hi everyone!

I have a WXC-250 and a WXC-500 in a community of 10 WXC boxes, and I like to filter some kind of traffic/port (like HTTP, etc).

As I have QoS activated on every box, I tried to make it as follows:

1) I created a traffic class called "Filtered".
2) I assigned HTTP traffic in this class.
3) I assigned 0% of the traffic as maximum bandwitdh permitted to this class (via QoS).

But the traffic keeps passing by, so my question is: How I could make this possible? I'm making a mistake, or there's another way to do it??

Thank you very much in advance :)

Hi albertbe,

Are you trying to block the traffic or lower the QOS ? if you are trying to block the traffic you can use the prohibited traffic class..
