like to know how many signatures can the IDP store ?

I don't think the limit's been established. Or at least the limit can't be quantified by "Number of Signatures". Currently the sig file is a little under 2 meg - they're considering moving to ZIP to make the weekly download take less time. Once the sig file is processed by the IDP, it merges, sorts, and spindles the policies internally. I do know that for the IDP they're nowhere near the limit.
