DNS name lookup failed

Hello Everyone!

Can you help me to my problem. i make a policy to my firewall (netscreen SSG 5) and i added a website to be block, but everytime i add website to be block a massage always like this..

(the address has been added, but the DNS name lookup failed)

can till me what to do?

before i can add a website without massage came up.

hi,

you need to check your dns settings on the ssg5. when you add a domain name object (like website), he will ask dns server which ip's are behind this name.

if you see that message, it means the dns server couldn't be reached, or doesn't know the objects.

so double check dns settings on ssg5
