NSRP cluster on NS204 - Same manage ip & hostname?

Hi everybody,

At a customer site, we have an NSRP cluster with 2 NS 204, ScreenOS 5.
The cluster setup was initialy done well, with 2 different hostnames & 2 different manage-ip adresses.
Someone flashed the ScreenOS from 4 to 5 a while ago and now, for some reason, the 2 Netscreens have the same manage IP & same hostname (I tested it by switching of 1 by 1 and login via the WUI). Can this cause problems on the NS devices or can I just leave it like this? The rest of the cluster configuration is OK and the cluster itself works fine to me.

hostnames can be changed per member base (so every member can have its own hostname)

there is also a cluster name (which is the same for both)

XXXXX:yyyyy (xxxxx= clustername yyyyy=hostname) will look like this on the CLI

It is not good to have the same manage-ip one both members (because then you can only access one and you don't know which one)

So manage-ip should be different for each member (but the real ip will be the same => this is how NSRP works)

The management-ip's should not be the same.

if they are equal now, go into the interface and change them.
