ISG 2000 hostname change
« on: February 06, 2017, 09:07:59 am »
I need to change host name of  ISG 2000 cluster members. Its pretty simple setup, just simple rules, some MIPs and DIPs, no VPN terminated on the firewall. My question is, can I do this on the fly? What is the safest way? Thank you for reply

I asked support, it should not be any problem to do it.

Simply changing the hostname shouldn't affect any traffic or rules, so you can use CLI or WebUI to change it instantly:

CLI: set hostname <new_name>
WebUI: Network -> DNS -> Host -> Enter new hostname -> Apply
