Root System and IVS concurrently?
« on: July 12, 2012, 08:52:08 am »
I run an SA4500 on 7.1R6 with IVS license.

Right now, we have 6 active IVS. As I read in the documentation, the Junos Pulse Windows Client is not supported on an IVS. Can I transfer one IVS to the root system and then use the Junos Pulse Windows Client on that device?

Yes, you are right - unfortunately Junos Pulse is not possible to use under IVS (Juniper why???), so if you don't using ROOT system yet then yes, you can configure it there and use like IVS.

Thanks for your reply!

Are there any mean bits and bobs to consider when doing such a migration (IVS --> root) ?

I don't think so, ROOT system is working exactly the same way like IVS.
