I am currently running NSM FP3R2.  Does FP3R2 support NOS 5.1.0r4?  Does FP3R2 support NOS 5.1.0r3a?  I tried to review docs on Juniper's site and all I found were the older docs that mention NOS 5.1.0r3.

If I have the options of NOS 5.1.0r4  5.1.0r3a or 5.1.0r3, which version would be best for my NS 5200s? Which version would be best for my NS 5GTs?

FYI - I am running two NS 5200s in a NSRP cluster using VSD1 (one active and one passive).  I mostly use the devices for VPN tunnels, most of which are NHTB.  We hope to resolve some problems with VoIP (Avaya - H323).  We use a little OSPF on the NS 5200, but most routes are static.

yes NSM supports 5.1.0r4. it doesnt matter what Screen OS you have listed in NSM, as long as the device suports it. (eg dont put 5.1.0r3 on the 5gt wireless)

as far as NOS for the 5gt, i have had the least amount of problems with 5.1.0r3a. there are alot of bugs in 5.1 releases that came before 3a, the biggest one (for me) was the inability of 10user licence 5gts to release active sessions when a mac address is done surfing the web. this would then lock everyone else out of using one of the active sessions until the box was reset

Thanks for the help!

What do you mean by - "it doesnt matter what Screen OS you have listed in NSM, as long as the device suports it."

I was under the impression that NSM must support that version of the firmware for NSM to properly manage it?  Such as in NSM FP2R3, you could not manage a NOS 5.1.0r3 device.

Also, why not use NOS 5.1.0r4?  Any bad bugs for that version?
