SSL VPN/Neoteris and the google desktop search
« on: October 15, 2004, 06:35:19 am »
Hi,

I guess this is more of a heads up, I think ive noticed a potential problem between the ssl vpn and the google desktop search.

Ive using the SSL vpn to access work for a couple of months and im really starting to warm to it, but this morning ie started to hang ever time I logged on and hostchecker started to download / run.

Last night I installed the beta of the google desktop search, so I stopped the application running the hostchecker then ran correctly.

Ive run a few tests on a pc running XP SP2 (with the loopback fix) and ive got the same result every time, but ive only got access to one machine today so the tests I can run are limited

Andy

ps the desktop search can be downloaded at http://desktop.google.com/

Hi Muzz,

I know there is a problem with the cache cleaner (when you use google desktop search), this because he isn't able to clear the database of this program.
