has anyone managed to build an IPSec VPN from an iPhone to a SRX? Could this be done with the dynamic-vpn feature and/or the built-in iphone IPSec client?

The new iPhone 4.0 has now an IPSec VPN option on the configuration.
I did not have time to test it with the SRX yet, as I'm using cert auth and the new iPhone IPSec asks for shared secret.

The Dynamic-VPN can not be downloaded on an iPhone, as only Apple APIs are allowed on the new OS version and all apps shoud be donwloaded through the App Store.

IPSec VPN is no new feature of OS 4.0, this is supported since 3.0 (or even earlier?). I also know that the https-part of dynamic VPN will not work, but that does nothing else than to download a (preconfigured) IPSec client, afaik dynamic VPN should also work with a standard IPSec client.

What will be new for iPhone 4.0 is JUNOS Pulse.

iPhone 4.0 will also officialy support SSL-VPN from Juniper.

IPSec VPN was working only with a pre-installed client by Cisco

True... it would be cool if Juniper eventually rolled in an IPSec client too, seeing as how NS Remote is no longer.  I don't know if this will be the case though.

According to Juniper webcast yesterday, Pulse 1.0 will support Dynamic VPN's to the SRX.  (No ScreenOS VPN support only SRX.)

Did you read this thread before posting? iOS 4.0 is the one running on iPhone 4! But it does not support SSL-VPN natively but according to the release notes through an app, that has to be released yet (by Juniper).
